Lecture Title: "The Heart of Movement: 'What's Love Got to Do With It?'"
APTA's most distinguished honor, the Mary McMillan Lecture spotlights a physical therapist whose contributions have significantly influenced the profession. Each year, the recipient delivers an inspiring, thought-provoking presentation that challenges and inspires the physical therapy community.
This year's lecture will be delivered by Terry Nordstrom, PT, EdD, FAPTA, an emeritus professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, California. As a leader in the profession, Nordstrom has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to advancing physical therapy education, research, and advocacy. Read more about Nordstrom.
In his lecture, "The Heart of Movement: 'What's Love Got to Do With It?'" Nordstrom will explore how physical therapists can create a unified purpose that drives collective action at the broader community and societal levels. He will challenge attendees to think bigger, act bolder, and embrace the power of love and connection at the heart of movement.
